Handy little gadget

I ordered this for a pair of shoes that had lost the elastic drawstrings in the binding. It worked perfectly well, though it took a couple of tries to figure out how to use it correctly. I will now use it on a couple of hoodies that have lost their drawstrings and see if I can make them wearable again.

Don’t waste your money, but more importantly your time

I was incredibly excited to use this drawstring threader to replace my cotton drawstrings with elastic ones. I followed the instructions, however the closure mechanism (which is crucial to the success of the product) broke off almost immediately. I’m not sure if it was defective or just incredibly poorly made. I shouldn’t have been so rash to try the product out on a pair of shoes I was still wearing, but now one of my pointe shoes has no drawstring at all. I am very dissatisfied with this product.

Truly sorry to hear about your experience. We have received nothing but positive reviews about this product. We'd be delighted to send you out a new Threader. Best of luck!

Bye, bye stiff drawstring!

Let’s be honest, removing pointe shoe drawstrings can’t be easy. I’m happy to report that, after getting used to the drawstring threader, I was able to replace my stiff drawstring with an elastic one! For reference I wear Suffolk sonnets. Just be careful not to poke yourself with the tool (ouch!). It was efficient and worked out perfectly! Worth a try if you’re contemplating swapping your drawstring!
