• Aerial: We recommend wearing a short sleeved t-shirt that covers the midriff and leggings. You may also wear a leotard and pants or anything that covers their knees. Clothes with any zippers, rivets, buttons along with jewelry will not be permitted as they can snag the silk fabric.
• Tumbling: We recommend wearing a t-shirt (with regular short sleeves) and leggings. You may also wear a leotard and pants. No baggy clothes.

PRE PRO TECHNIQUE
These requirements are for Pre Pro Technique only. Recreational Jazz follows the regular RDC dress code.

Dancers should be dressed primarily in black, with one article of clothing in their assigned accent color.

• Mini Co.: Black + one pink accent
• Pre Pro 1: Black + one purple accent
• Pre Pro 2: Black + one blue accent
• Pre Pro 3: Black + one green accent
• Pre Pro 4 & 5: Black + one accent color of choice

Examples include black leggings with a sports bra in the assigned accent color, or a black unitard with an accent-colored sports bra underneath.

T-shirts may be worn for warm-up only and should be removed after warm-up.

Boys: Majority black with the same assigned accent color. The accent can be a shirt or incorporated into a black and accent-colored top.

Combination Days: On days when dancers will be learning a lyrical or contemporary combination in class, they may wear looser or baggier dancewear and socks to allow for a different quality of movement. Families and dancers will be notified ahead of time when a class will be a combo day.

Shoes: Bare feet, half soles, or jazz shoes, as directed by the instructor.Hair: Securely pulled back and away from the face. Ponytail, bun, or another secure style.

TAP

• Attire: Any color form-fitting dance top (sports bra, crop top, or tank top) with jazz pants or leggings.
• Shoes: Black tap shoes.
• Hair: Securely pulled back and away from the face. Ponytail, bun, or another secure style.

HIP HOP

• Attire: Baggy, movement-friendly street or urban dancewear. All graphics and wording must be family-friendly and appropriate.
• Shoes: Clean, non-marking sneakers.
• Hair: Secured as needed so it does not interfere with movement or visibility.

ACRO / TUMBLING

• Attire: Form-fitting dance top with leggings or dance shorts. Midsection should be covered when needed for safe floor work.
• Shoes: Bare feet.
• Hair: Securely pulled back.
• No loose clothing, jewelry, or accessories that may interfere with tumbling.

AERIAL

• Attire: Form-fitting top with full-length leggings. Midsection and backs of knees must be covered for protection while working on the silks.
• Shoes: Bare feet.Hair / Notes: Hair securely pulled back.
• Remove jewelry and avoid zippers, sharp accessories, or clothing that could catch on the silks.

Ballroom, Cheer & Dance Team, Jazz Funk, and Tumbling
