This shoe gives the dancer a strong supportive box, broader platform, and arch-hugging insole. The standard medium vamp with the signature Suffolk U shape is hand cut to perfection.

What is the difference between the Suffolk Stellar Standard Shank and Light Shank?
The primary difference is the flexibility and weight of the shoe's construction. The Standard (Medium) Shank features a traditional 2 mm board designed for maximum arch support, stability, and longevity. The Light Shank is modified to be more flexible out of the box and utilizes a lighter paste formulation on the bottom of the foot.
Who should choose the Suffolk Stellar Light Shank?
The Light Shank is ideal for dancers with less foot strength who struggle to fully get over their platform, or dancers who prefer a broken-in feel with a lighter weight under the arch. However, if you have highly flexible arches, the Standard Shank is highly recommended to prevent the shoe from wearing out too quickly.
