Aisy Dance
Aisy Dance is a women-owned-and-operated dancewear brand, driven by sustainable development and ethical practices, that is brand new to the United States, and exclusive to Dancewear Corner!Â
Available in the U.S. for the first time, the 2021 capsule includes 5 leotards, 2 unitards, 2 skirts, and mesh leggings; all designed to be mixed and matched for an effortlessly
elevated look!
Sustainable development, organic production and ethical practices are a priority for us. We firmly believe that you can create and design in a sustainable way while taking care of the environment. Here’s a little more about how we do that!
All our designs go through a patterning and prototyping process that follows couture methods, and are produced in a responsible way. We produce small batches at a time to avoid creating excess product (and therefore excess waste). Our workshop is local, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, and is always highly focused on quality and ethics.
Sustainable Fabrics
Aisy is a partner brand of the ECONYL® project, and uses fabrics made from regenerated nylon that’s produced from fishing nets and other waste rescued from oceans and landfills around the world. These materials are given a second chance, becoming quality fabrics while reducing raw material consumption! You can find ECONYL® fabric in use at companies like Girlfriend Collective, Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, and Stella McCartney (among many others).
Our fabrics are also certified by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, the world's leading eco-label for textiles, which guarantees they have been tested for harmful substances.
 fromÂ
I started Aisy in 2018. It all began after a shopping trip with my 16-year-old daughter, who was looking for new dancewear, and struggling to find styles that felt like they were made for her — she wanted the same feeling of excitement from her dancewear that she gets when walking into a Zara or Mango store!
It’s my goal to create a brand that will not only support the tenacity required to pursue ballet (whether for a career or just for the love of it) but also represents the values I believe in, personally: perseverance, effort, beauty, grace, grit, strength, and ethical responsibility. Â
I truly believe there is something in ballet for everyone, whether it’s the physical practice, the transcendence you feel when watching it live, or just a love of its discipline!
I know it’s just dancewear, but it’s my hope that Aisy Dance can help transform people’s lives by helping them feel attractive, empowered, and capable of doing anything!
Happy dancing,
Elena
