I was hesitant about the mesh elastic but my daughter needed to try a vamp piece and we didn’t want the huge one so we went with this! Daughter says it works great, looks great and it’s holding up great too!

Less visible, just as strong

This elastic can be a little stiff and less comfortable than the standard one, but it’s definitely less visible and provides similar hold. Worth trying!
