Classic yet contemporary, Encore Russian Pointe Shoe combines a streamlined low crown with a moderately tapered box and medium platform, to suit dancers with tapered toes or one or two even-length toes, and shallow to slightly full feet. The tapered shape from metatarsal area to heel accommodates the "diamond" foot. Pre-Arched construction throughout the shoe mimics the shape of the foot on pointe. Next-generation shanks provide flexibility and durability.

 

V-cut without drawstring or U-cut with elastic drawstring

Russian Pointe®’s exclusive pre-arched construction enhances the beauty of the arch, decreases pressure on the front of the foot (for high arches), makes it easier to reach full pointe (for low arches), minimizes break-in and may increase longevity.

Strong shank

Very stiff at the beginning but is breaking in very nicely & feels good.
Love the color, blends nicely with the tights my daughter wears for classes.

Russian Pointe Encore

Customer service staff were very helpful and fabulous over the telephone. The shoes were exactly what my daughter needed. This review is 4 stars and not 5 because someone pulled the drawstrings in the shoes before they were shipped. I suppose they were tried on by someone else in the store. The Artistic Director at my daughter's studio (who has had a studio for 38 years) says the drawstrings in a pointe shoe must not be pulled prior to sewing the elastics snug at the back so the dancer's Achilles tendon is not damaged. Fortunately the teacher at the studio and I were able to loosen the drawstrings enough that the shoes were approved and my daughter can wear them. We are very thankful that Dancewear Corner had these shoes in stock. If I have trouble finding pointe shoes locally again I will call Dancewear Corner for assistance.

Great attendance

I booked an appointment in this store to get my first pair of pointe shoes. The girl who made my fitting was very funny and was patient and overall a very good fitter. Loved these and the store!
