Bunheads Pro Pad®

These are a must have for pointe class!

I wear a women's 8.5 street shoes so I purchased the size large. It fits well. I actually no longer dance on point, however, I use these inside my flamenco shoes. One pair has lasted several years...this in spite of a funky toenail (thanks to a horse that stepped on it when I was MUCH younger) that sticks up a bit and tends to wear holes in the tips of socks and such. The Pro Pads are smooth and comfortable. I appreciate the lack of cushioning on the bottom of the pad... less bulky in the shoe. Wish they had been available way back when I was dancing on pointe.

I really enjoy these toe pads. Overall, I think they work really well. I like that there isn’t any padding on the ball of my foot or toes, because it allows my foot to “breathe”. I hate feeling like my toes are trapped in a hot sweaty pouch haha. Although, I wish there was more padding at the tip of the toe pad. The gel is only on the top half of the toe pad, and doesn’t go completely under your big toe. If you are someone that needs more cushion on your big toe, these toe pads alone probably won’t do the job. You would probably need to use a gel tip or insert for additional comfort. The seams are very smooth, so I haven’t had any issues with blisters or excessive rubbing. The material is also very durable, which is always a plus! I am a women’s size 11 with very long toes, and the size L just barely covers my toes. I wish the toe pads were a little bit longer, but they would probably be great for dancers with short to average toes! These toe pads are a great choice if you prefer something very thin and minimal.
