Can A Dancer With Wide Feet Still Go On Pointe?

The short answer is yes. Pointe shoes are the symbol of a dancer's hard work and dedication. They're also one of those little things that helps you stand out in ballet class!

For dancers with wider feet, it can be particularly difficult to find pointe shoes - but don't worry! It just means they need special care from their fitter when finding them "the perfect fit."

The width of your foot will never affect you from going on pointe. Having wider feet can make it easier to stand on pointe because they provide more balance and allow for the learning process to be much simpler, as technique is not an issue if there are a variety of shoes that fit well at a dance store with experienced fitter assistants who have knowledge in all types of footwear.
