Revamp your look in the Roxy Tap Shoe. Made on a new, sculpted last for a contoured fit to the foot and features a feminine, “almond” toe shape. The upper is made from a soft, mold to the foot, Brazilian leather and designed with a traditional wing tip for style. Inside, a molded EVA insole mimics the shape of the shoe for additional foot and arch support. Secure for toe stands, the toe box has a medium reinforcement and offers less restriction on the flex point. Double layer sole and stacked, solid heel straight out of the box. Made of genuine leather, the sole has been stitched for added security. Signature Tele Tone® toe and heel taps are flush mounted for a trademark Capezio sound that begs to be heard.

Comfortable, but sound not quite as crisp as my old ones

I have been looking for a new pair of new tap shoes for quite a while. As I know the Miller and Ben shoes do take a little longer to break in and my feet hurt in my old shoes I was looking for something more comfortable.
The Roxy tap shoes are comfortable especially as I chose “wide” and there is definitely more space in the toe box. Unfortunately they are a bit wide at my ankles, too, so they feel a little too loose there. I will try to fix this with a broad rubber band around the foot as I already did with my Irish tap shoes. That worked quite well.
Still I am a bit disappointed about the sound. My old shoes were “Rumpf”-shoes and I loved the crisp sound. The taps though were Capezio and so I thought that Capezio-shoes with Capezio taps would sound quite as good if not better.
Well I think they don’t. I find it hard to get a good massive “heel” sound out of those heels. The taps are ok. Maybe with the rubber bands and some more breaking in they will eventually sound better after some time.

The DanceWear Corner Shop Service though was flawless. The Shipping to Germany and customs worked perfectly and I was so happy when I got my new shoes from the post office. 😊
